Creating a digital Stadium of Light

English Premier League club Sunderland A.F.C. (AKA The Black Cats) have worked in partnership with Aqueduct since 2012 when we launched the Premier League’s first fully responsive website for them. Developed with a keen eye on the increasingly important mobile fan and ever increasing thirst for video content we built it on Sitecore, with StreamUK video and Communicator email integration, to enable SAFC to fully exploit the commercial opportunity of digital.

As part of the ongoing strategy we relaunched the site in 2016 with a fully mobile-first approach enabling fans to get to the latest stories in real-time from any device. The new site further pushes the Sunderland A.F.C business, enabling the effective commercialisation of all areas of the club from game content to corporate events, concerts and even weddings at the Stadium of Light.

Our partnership with Sunderland A.F.C is highly collaborative, using agile methodologies for product development to achieve the highest return from the available resources.
